Continuing Education has an opening for a part-time Education Program Assistant working a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays, for up to 20 hours per week. This position will primarily perform clerical and administrative support duties for the Continuing Education department. The Education Program Assistant provides support and assistance in the identification, development and delivery of educational programs or initiatives; duties may include (but are not limited to) support of internal/external stakeholders, implementation of routine program logistics, participation in team activities, use of electronic communications and technology, preparation of reports and program documentation, support of budget activities and data collection/input activities.
General Requirements & Skills
Typically requires an Associate degree or higher and five plus years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will have exceptional computer skills including data entry, mail merge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality, coordinate several projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks. In addition, the individual will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail oriented, capable of self-management, and excellent judgment and problem-solving skills. Ideally, the candidate will have a comprehensive understanding or working knowledge of professional/workforce development and community outreach.
Prior to hire must have all clearances including PA State Police background check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
