Description

New Hope Ministries, a respected Christian social service agency serving south central Pennsylvania for 40 years, seeks a friendly, professional, and goal-directed individual to oversee and increase fundraising efforts for an established and successful fundraising program in our southern service area, which includes the communities of Hanover, Dover, Littlestown, Spring Grove, and New Oxford. The responsibilities of the position include:

  • Manage regional portfolio of donors and prospective donors including businesses, churches, civic groups, and municipalities, with a major emphasis on managing individual donor relationships from first-time through legacy giving.
  • Coordinate development activity in the identified region that will directly result in donor prospect identification, engagement, and successful solicitations.
  • Plan, manage and execute meetings and events that advance donor involvement, cultivation and stewardship for major giving and planned giving opportunities.

General Requirements & Skills

The ideal candidate would have a college degree, solid professional background in sales and/or fundraising experience in our funding area, a desire to share the love of Christ by helping our neighbors in need, a heart for donors and moving relationships to the next level, and proven success in donor solicitations and securing gifts. A CFRE credential or equivalent is desired. Required skills include excellent oral and written communication skills, a strategic approach to fundraising, problem solving skills, and the ability to prioritize activities and manage time effectively. New Hope would be willing to consider impeccably skilled candidates who are new to the field of fundraising, with the expectation that training and credentialing would be pursued to maintain employment. This is a full time position with a $55,000 annual salary that includes health and retirement benefits and generous paid time off.
