The Behavioral Health Therapist is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team whose focus is on the development and promotion of good mental and behavioral health for the pediatric population in an outpatient setting.  The Behavioral Health Therapist assesses and addresses the psychological and behavioral difficulties of children, adolescents, and young adults up to 21 years of age so that they can achieve optimal growth and development within their natural environment.  The Behavioral Health Therapist will provide individual, group, and family based treatment interventions that are relationship-based and client-centered. To be successful as a Behavioral Health therapist, you should be patient and able to work under stress and alleviate the frustrations of your patients and their families. The Behavioral Health Therapist is the support to the clients and their caregivers faced with challenges of development, education, supportive services, and a link to community supports.
