Description
We are currently looking to hire a physical therapist who is licensed to practice in PA to work either full or part time (part-time position is for evenings only) at our state-of-the-art pediatric facility. You would be working alongside a cross-disciplinary team of health professionals to make a positive difference in the lives of the children and families we serve. General Requirements & Skills
The Physical Therapist is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team whose focus is on the promotion of optimal health and functioning for the pediatric population. The physical therapist assesses the foundational motor skills required for enhanced aerobic capacity, endurance, balance, strength, coordination, timing, and functional mobility of the pediatric client. The physical therapist customizes unique and individual interventions for the establishment, remediation, or restoration of functional mobility and health. They identify the need for environmental adaptations for the promotion of safety and function in the home and community. The physical therapist identifies the need and necessary supports of adaptive equipment and orthotics to promote safe and greater function. To be successful as a pediatric physical therapist, you should be able to work under stress and alleviate the frustrations of your patients and their families. You should be patient and have strong physical endurance and manual dexterity.
