Position Overview:

This position is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the organization’s marketing, communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Responsible for the development,  implementation, and brand consistency of marketing materials, support the marketing objectives, and maximize the positive exposure of the organization’s programs, services, and mission/vision.

Marketing

  • Plan, develop, implement, and measure execution of marketing and communication plans across traditional and digital channels aligned with the organization's strategic plan objective, with the goal of growing market share (KPIs and ROI)
  • Collaborate with the Membership and Development teams to increase revenue and enhance the stakeholder experience. 
  • Define and implement digital marketing strategies that generate customer engagement – including content, digital advertising, organic search, paid search, social media, organization’s website, email, App’s, videos, etc.
  • Keep abreast of latest trends for SEO, website development, user interfaces, and customer experiences (digitally and in-person) and overall marketing strategies.
  • Ensure annual fulfillment of Google Ad Words Grant to maximize amount awarded.
  • Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Develop design work and content for ads, promotions, brochures, TV displays, etc.

 

Communications

  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts.
  • Negotiate with media partners to guarantee advantageous contracts.
  • Develop, pitch, and land press releases and public relations placements.
  • Create connection with the press to become JCC press liaison.
  • Edit and proof all major communications for the JCC to external public for AP style standards, grammar, and word usage.
  • Curate content for blogs, vlogs, and podcasts to bolster public awareness.

 

General Requirements & Skills

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or relevant field with at least 5 years of relevant experience preferred. 
  • Experience in the development, implementation, and measured execution of marketing and communication plans.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of integrated traditional and digital marketing platforms, their respective audiences, and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft programs.
  • Experience with mass email services and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
  • Experience in project management preferred
  • Certified content management system preferred (preferably WordPress).
  • Experience hiring, training, developing, supervising, and appraising personnel.

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications, and public relations activities.
  • Strong innovative, creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and customer-facing skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach with ability to work autonomously on multiple projects simultaneously within multiple departments.
  • Able to meet deadlines and track project status along multiple departments and development campaigns. 
  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally.
  • Creative thinker with personal interest in staying up-to-date on the latest trends and emerging best practices.
