POSITION SUMMARY
PARALEGAL: Responsible for processing all applicable paperwork related to the following legal actions: Civil Process, Court Orders, Garnishee, Personal Property Sales, Real Estate Sales, Protection from Abuse Orders, Assorted Notices. (In Addition – any other legal documents that would be deemed necessary or appropriate for the Sheriff’s Office to process or serve.)

General Skills: Reading and Comprehension, Writing, Communication, General Use of Computers (Assorted Programs and Applications)
Basic Computational Skills: Billing, Collections, Costs (Calculations), Deposits, Receipts, Refunds, Transfers, Disbursements, Basic Accounting
Computer Data Entry, Copying, Customer Service (Counter and Phone), E-Mailing, Faxing, Filing, Mailing, Scheduling, Typing

Advertising Announcements
Bankruptcy Bills of Sale
Break and Enter Orders Claims for Exemption
Cost Sheets Deeds
Determinations Distributions
Handbills Interpleader Hearings
Legal Descriptions Liens
Notice of Sales Objections
Orders of Execution Possessions
Property Claims Returns of Service
Sheriff’s Sale: lists and bids Service Forms
Transfer Taxes Notices
Writs of Execution Writs
Poundage Fees Subpoenas
Mail / Legal Documents– Time Stamp Surcharge Totals
Levy Inventories Protection from Abuse Orders
Responsible for completing all other required paperwork or tasks as they relate to the preparation, service, and completion of any legal documents received by the Sheriff’s Office.
All other reasonable duties assigned by a supervisor or their designee.
