Description
Job purpose
Performs financial duties relation to daily operations. Assisting with monthly and annual general ledger closings, audits, budgets and forecasts. Processes financial information to ensure accuracy for corporate accountants.
General Requirements & Skills
Duties and responsibilities
Answer all questions and concerns regarding the accounting department.
Process all non-utility bills. Including but not limited to data entry, processing for payment, and preparation for remittance.
Process management company credit card charges.
Assist with Tenant/Owner Statement Review Process
Prepare Tenant/Owner Statements for finalization and distribution
Process PFHA/Sec 8 vouchers, tenant rent receipts, management fees, and access applicable late fees.
Process Property and School Taxes, Insurance and adjust prorations accordingly.
Process Rental License Filing and accruing
Prepare 1099’s and assist with annual close out of general ledger.
Assist Corporate Accountants with budgets, forecasting and reporting including but not limited to the P&L.
Participate and contribute to various audit and compliance projects for management.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or 5 or more years of related experience
Specialized knowledge of Quickbooks
Working knowledge of Appfolio is preferred but not required
Previous experience in property management or real estate is preferred but not required
Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
