SUMMARY:

Responsible for the safety and security of hotel guests, associates, and general physical plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Performs hourly and daily security rounds of the hotel facility including but not limited to guest
floors, associate hallways, parking garage and the perimeter of the building.
Fully understand and complete all required security reports and keep up-to-date records as
required. Completes daily-required shift checklists.
Works closely with the Front Office department for delivery of wireless internet kits.
Completes and investigates all general liability, associate incident and guest incident reports
and ensures that all reports are completed in a timely manner.
Monitors the hotel’s security cameras, to ensure safety and security.
Controls lost and found for the hotel.
Controls the shipping and receiving for the hotel. Receives and sends packages for the hotel.
Delivers and sends packages to hotel guests. Delivers supplies to all departments within the
hotel.
Controls all Hotel issued keys for Hotel Personnel, ensures that they are properly recorded in
and out.
Controls all Hotel issued two-way radios, ensures that they are properly recorded in and out.
Performs routine bag checks.
Must maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Must wear required uniform, must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLIITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Must have a valid New York State Security Guard License
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and
technical procedures. Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add/subtract two digit numbers.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
TRAINING NEEDS:
Prior Security Guard Training required.
