The Manufacturers’ Association, in partnership with Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, is starting the year off with more Talent & Innovation Defense Ecosystem (TIDE) CNC Operator training!!
Below is the course information, along with a link to register for a TIDE CNC Operator course at Thaddeus Stevens. When completing the registration:
- Please complete the Employer/Sponsor section for your Trainee(s) and wish to sponsor a current employee(s) and/or potential hire(s). Sponsoring companies must do work as, or support other, Dept. of Defense Maritime and/or Defense Industrial Base (MIB/DIB) manufacturers or U.S. government contractors.
- If you are an individual and not sponsored by a defense manufacturing employer, please leave that portion of the registration blank.
TIDE Machine Operator
Course Description:
This comprehensive 230-hour Machine Operator training program is meticulously designed to develop a skilled workforce ready to tackle the challenges of modern defense manufacturing, directly supporting the mission of the U. S. Defense and Maritime Industrial Bases and The Manufacturers’ Association’s Talent & Innovation Defense Ecosystem (T.I.D.E.) Project. Trainees will gain essential knowledge in safety protocols, blueprint reading, and advanced metrology, alongside practical experience with cutting tools and machining operations. The curriculum covers key topics such as orthographic views, GD&T, metallurgy, and the intricacies of CNC machining, ensuring a well-rounded education that emphasizes precision and quality. Hands-on training in the use of various measuring instruments, cutting fluids, and tool wear management will empower your employees to enhance productivity and maintain high standards in their work.
