Job Requirements (may be supplemented by requirements in the Job Specification)

 

Under general supervision or direction and as assigned, the position is responsible for:

 

1.   To operate, evaluate and be responsible for the proper, effective and efficient operation of the company's facilities, the various systems and all contents.

 

2.   Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and installations on facilities equipment on and in the buildings.

 

3.   Perform other related or less skilled work as directed such as snow removal, road and landscape tasks, janitorial, etc.

 

4.   Will be required to work alone and with personnel of equal or lesser classification.

 

5.  Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED.  Specialized formal training is desirable and the candidate should have two years of experience in this or a related field.  Working knowledge of office and building equipment, such as:  HVAC equipment, electrical lighting systems, pumps, ejectors, compressors, refrigerating equipment, plumbing, hardware, elevators, hoists, cranes and all related equipment and/or systems.

 

6.   Must have the ability to utilize the Company's computer system for related functions and to operate the building control system computer.

 

7.   Make all necessary inspections, reports and requisition materials.

 

8.   Must be familiar with the Company's Safety Rules and have the ability to apply them to the work process.

 

9. Must have the strength and endurance adequate for arduous labor as circumstances require.

 

10.  Must be able to assess situations, prioritize them and plan work assignments.

 

11.  Must be willing to work extra and/or irregular hours.

 

12.  Must be capable of assuming supervisory responsibilities.

 

13.  Must possess a valid driver’s license and operate department vehicles.
