Registration Now Open for Lead Inspector & Risk Assessor Training – Limited Spots Available

The York County Economic Alliance, in partnership with BLOOM Business Empowerment Center, Pennoni, and the York County Planning Commission, is hosting two upcoming Lead and Lead Abatement Training Programs designed to upskill workers in the construction and environmental health industries.

Training Program #1: 24-Hour Lead Inspector Initial Course – February 24, 25, and 26, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. In-person at York County Economic Alliance, 144 Roosevelt Ave, York, PA

This course provides comprehensive training on identifying and assessing lead-based paint and building materials. Participants will learn inspection and sampling procedures, state and federal regulations, health effects, PPE requirements, liability considerations, and recordkeeping.

The course meets initial EPA and HUD training requirements for public housing and child-occupied facilities and satisfies OSHA Lead Hygiene, Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection (including fit testing), and PPE standards.

Training Program #2: 16-Hour Lead Risk Assessor Initial Course – March 10 and 11, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. In-person at York County Economic Alliance, 144 Roosevelt Ave, York, PA

This course fulfills Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry accreditation requirements under U.S. EPA 40 CFR 745 for individuals conducting lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments in target housing and child-occupied facilities.
