TeleCom Business Solutions is searching for an experienced field IT Technician to deliver exceptional competent customer service and support to their clients in south central Pennsylvania.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of the following for customers:

  • Network hardware and equipment, such as routers, Firewalls, and switches
  • Wireless Infrastructure, controllers, and access points
  • Server management, Server OS, Updates, Virtualization
  • End user devices, such as workstations, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Server and End User Software, Licensing, and deployment
  • Hosted and cloud computing solutions.
  • Cloud and Premise based email solutions.
  • Data backup and storage solutions
  • Antivirus, Web and Content Filtering, and other related hardware and software solutions
  • Remote Management and Monitoring solutions and reporting
  • IP surveillance cameras and camera servers
  • Customer/End user training

Providing both onsite and remote helpdesk support/service to customers

General Requirements & Skills

The ideal candidate for this role will be an independent worker, self-motivated, with strong organization, verbal/written communication, and time management skills. The candidate should also be able to work well with other and collaborate ideas.

The candidate for this position should be able to solve and address most of a customer’s IT support needs with very little support. This is not an entry level position and candidates will be required to be able to perform the work required from day one of being hired.

Understanding of network topology, and confidence in working with network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, managed switches. Certifications with Network+, CompTia, CCNA, or MCSE is a plus

Project management skills are desired.

Experience with ticketing system software for time and customer management (ConnectWise) is preferred.
A valid Driver`s License is a must as this position requires some travel each day to customer sites.

Some examples of a technician’s schedule are, traveling to multiple sites for different support/moves/add/changes, partial or all-day blocks of time for customers support, and in house/ remote helpdesk support for customer.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT/Network Support
  • Strong troubleshooting/critical thinking skills
  • Strong IT networking capabilities
  • Customer service skills
  • Day to day traveling to customer sites, within the south-central PA area.
